New Fan Fic Land Comm

First to the moderators, if this isn't allowed, I'm sorry, but I didn't see where it said it wasn't.  Feel free to delete it.

Now to the rest of my friendly comm mates!  :-)  Those of you who know me by now know me well enough to know that I'm always trying something new to stir up fan fic activity.  My latest experiment is now officially beginning to stir up fics with its challenges.  I'd talked about creating an X-Men land but decided against it as I find myself bored with the images, puzzles, and the like.  It's the fan fic I want, and all fan fic that I've geared this new land comm after.
There are four teams -- one for comics, magna, and video games; one for live action movies, real people, and TV shows; one for animated movies, cartoons, and anime, and one for books, theater, and original fiction --, and as usual with land comms, each team are striving to reach a certain point goal (this time, 5,000 points) before the rest.  Challenges are both weekly (drabbles/short fics -- from 100 to 1,000 words) and monthly (longer fics -- 1,000 words and longer).
The URL is, but there is a form that must be filled out before memberships can be approved.  Just click Leave Comment on the first post on the comm, copy and paste the form into your reply, and fill it out.  The form's attached to the first message posted, but it can also be copied from
here. )    I hope to see at least some of you there!  Thanks to mods for this chance to share.  Thank you all for taking the time to read this post and for all the talent, work, and effort you already put into making this fandom a bigger, brighter, and better place for us all!

FANART: Scooby fashion through the decades

Now that Mystery Incorporated has got me on a Scooby Doo kick, I just realized that Velma is the only member of the gang that never got a new outfit (she got one in Pup Named Scooby Doo, but she was only a kid in that show). Heck even Shaggy got a new shirt once in a while!
Some other gang members also missed out on wacky 80s-90s era fashions, so I decided to doodle some here. Hope you like 'em!

Newbie Fanart post - Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated fanart

Hi Everybody!
I'm really excited to see an LJ community that shows some love to Western cartoons. And, since you guys have changed the rules to allow fanart, I decided to join.

I decided to go with some fanart from the brand new Scooby Doo reboot called Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated. Don't let the utter suckiness of the last few Scooby reboots scare ya off, this new show is actually fantastic! Anyhoo, onto the fanart:

REC: 'Learning Curve', WALL-E

Title: Learning Curve
Author: Miss Becky
Characters/Fandom: WALL-E.
Word Count: 683
Rating: G
700 years is a long time. Long enough to learn new things. Set pre-film.
Warnings: none.

Every other WALL-E fic Miss Becky's written is gorgeous, too, but this one is my favorite. Poignant and bitter-sweet, this fic really captures the desolation and the dogged optimism WALL-E's empty Earth.

Read it here at Miss Becky's FFN page.
